Excellent campsite for visiting Nantes. Tram line just outside main entrance. Very user friendly. Free public transport travel at weekends. Lovely park adjacent to campsite for cycling and walking. Bar restaurant limited opening as we visited in September 2022. We were able to bring our dog on the tram - rule is of u can carry your pet u can bring on public transport. ⁷ Very close to city centre for cycling. With ACSI card rates very reasonable for site on outskirts of large city. Would definitely return.

Well maintained site. All emplacements good. Excellent reception staff. Not enough pitches for demand in early September (the Aire alongside was full too). No places left at about 16:00 on a Sunday afternoon. Thankfully I had booked ahead, following the advice from another review (the ACSI booking site did not work, but the campsite’s website did). Easy tram ride into town with a stop less than 100m from site. Lots to see there! Remarkably noisy owls at dusk! Disappointing early evening service at the restaurant. A sign said that they were short-staffed because of Covid, but only four or five other tables were occupied. We walked out after ten minutes. The waitress had still not acknowledged our presence nor even made eye contact. However we ate very well at Berlin 1989, just off the roundabout, a couple of minutes walk away past the tram stop. Buzzing atmosphere, excellent and enthusiastic service, nice food. We went straight there for our second evening.

A large, busy but well organised campsite in an excellent location close to the very efficient tram service in Nantes (free travel at weekends). The pitches are adequate and separated by shrubs. The toilet facilities are very good indeed. The restaurant is very popular and also produces bread to order in the mornings. The site has an arrangement with the municipal swimming pool just over the road, which is extremely nice. Strongly advise booking in advance.

Nantes Camping has a great location. The City of Nantes is easily accessible by Tram and Bicycle. The City has many Tourist attractions including The Castle of the Dukes of Brittany. A stroll around the City provides many an interest to the Tourist from lovely cuisine to shopping to a relaxing environment.
The Staff of the Campsite are most welcoming and friendly. Every time I visit the Campsite I compliment them on their helpfulness. They are very attentive to Campers. The Restaurant is nicely situated and offer a great range of dishes. With miniature golf beside the Restaurant it is easy to occupy the children.
There is a fabulous Swimming Complex across the road from the Campsite and available to all Campers as part of the tariff.
The Campsite is easily accessible and there is no difficulty in finding it. There are many walking Trails ranging from a lovely walk along the River Loire to a quiet walk along a small Stream along the Campsite to a lovely Park.
Located in the University area of Nantes it has a very vibrant atmosphere.
There is a very large Shopping Complex within a short drive from the Campsite.
All in all, I would without hesitation recommend Camping Nantes as a winner.

gros avantage de ce camping ,la facilité d\'aller en ville pour visiter Nantes.Le week-end les transports en commun sont même gratuits .
il y a aussi de quoi se promener dans un espace vert le long d\'une petite rivière juste a côte du camping,.Le camping est vraiment très grand , tout en longueur .Si vous êtes vers le fond vous en avez pour 10mn a pied pour aller a l\'accueil ou sortir!!!!Dommage que il soit si populaire et qu on soit obligés de réserver(même en juin) pour être sûrs d\'avoir un place ..victime de son succès!!!

Cela fait la seconde fois que nous passons par ce camping, la première pour visiter Nantes et à présent il nous sert d\'étape avec le camping car pour monter vers le Finistère.
Il est bien conçu et entretenu, mais le sanitaire serait plus propre sans utiliser les jets d\'eaux genre kaercher, car derrière les portes de wc et douches les tuyaux n\'y vont pas... et rien ne vaut l\'huile de coude.

Excellent campsite in a great location for visiting the centre of Nantes with the tram just close by. There is also a lovely park which runs alongside which is perfect if you have a dog. We were here on November so only one sanitary block open but this wasn\'t a problem. Good sized pitch but could be improved by putting down gravel to avoid lots of mud when it rains.
We would definitely come back.

Not too often I do write over campsites, but this one needs a bit of attention. Campsites relatively large, we stayed in 76, be sure you have no rain, as the ground is between muddy and hard. Always need a balancing act between dirt ground and mat to change shoes before entering your RV. Even we did have sunshine, the place was so shady, that I only could roll in the Markise in the late afternoon, as it took all day to dry out. Water, drain, electric all on site (some 16amp) But you need a real France water fitting to get water. We always do have these connectors but they did not fit. You get them at the reception! Staff speaks various languages and is very friendly. The entrance is direct out of a circle island, so make sure you make a big swing to enter. After the reception you enter the gate, which leaves you 10 cm space on each side. The person who put up these posts never has driven anything but a motorbike! Toilets are OK, even with some what shaky toilet seats and paper. The pizza restaurant opens actually at 5PM but you have to drink until 7PM before you get a meal! We did not unpack the bikes but we noticed bicycle paths on most roads. There even is a separate bike path from the campsite to the center of town. At our side of the camp you will not see the Satellite for all trees, even if you have a portable dish. We left after two days, as rain was announced and we did not wanted to wade through the mud.
